The Nihonkoku is a Junmai Ginjo of the Niigata Prefecture. The Taiiyo Shuzo brewery is nestled in the magnificent Mount Nihonkoku and uses the mountain’s delicious and refreshing spring water to brew the Nihonkoku. The sake uses Gohyakumangokhu sake rice and is crafted by using traditional techniques and patrons will love the final result. The pretty label of the bottle depicts a woman picking the rice harvest.
The sake is pure and free of any additives and brewer’s alcohol. It has a bouquet that suggests spices and chocolate. The creamy texture of the drink is enjoyable as is the flavor of apple and citrus on the palate. The Nihonkoku has an interesting finish of sesame and pepper.
