The Ichishima is an award winning Daiginjo from the Ichishima Shuzo. The brewery has been in the Ichishima family for over two centuries now. It uses locally grown ingredients to offer patrons the highest quality sake. The sake belongs to the Niigata Prefecture. It is made with the Koshitanrei sake rice which is milled 40%. The Ichishima has a subtle aroma of roses and green fruits, which is appealing. It is creamy and quite luxurious to taste, and is dry and has a long finish. The Ichishima is best paired with sushi and sashimi or enjoyed alone. The brewery offers sake patrons many options including Daiginjo, Junmai Daiginjo and Ginjo Koshu.
