About Fukucho Biho
The village of Akitsu in Hiroshima Prefecture, where the Fukucho Sake Brewery is located, is a quiet place facing the Seto Inland Sea. From long ago, it has been famous as a village from which many Toji and Kurabito(brewery workers) come. Sake brewers from here can be found at breweries in the village of Saijo, in Hiroshima, known as the local “Sake Capital”, as well as all over the country.
The Imada Sake Brewery offers patrons the Fukucho Biho, a Junmai Ginjo of Hiroshima Prefecture. The English name of the drink is ‘Moon on the Water’. It is made from Hattannishiki and Yamadanishiki sake rice which is milled 55%. The drink is hand crafted and uses the famous waters of the Hiroshima area. It has an interesting aroma of fruit, mint and spices such as fennel and white pepper. The Fukucho Biho offers a full flavor and is semi sweet. The flavors of fruits such as cantaloupe and black licorice make the Fukucho Biho tasty. It has a long, dry finish.
