About Dewatsuru Hihaku
A Junmai Daiginjo, the Dewatsuru Hihaku is brewed by Akita Seishu on the island of Honshu, Akita. The mountainous region is cold and the low temperatures affect the manner in which the sake rice is fermented and the drink is brewed. The Dewatsuru Hihaku uses sake Komachi rice and is of the Akita Perfecture. The drink is rather delicate and elegant and is best enjoyed with sashimi. The subtle aroma of cherries is followed by the refined and slightly sweet taste of a drink which has an alcohol content of 16.5%. Foods that complement the Dewatsuru Hihaku include shellfish and mildly spicy dishes.
This is a wonderful sake to enjoy with sashimi. Light hints of cherry on the nose, this is truly a sake you can enjoy anytime and anywhere.
